The time of year has come upon us where the borough and township residents want to burn brush, debris, leaves and trash.

Please make sure the residents are aware burning should not be completed on dry and/or windy days. I will be sending the fire danger rating system to help educate the residents on the importance of choosing appropriate days to burn.

This time of year is typically dry with low, to no, humidity. Even though the ground itself may be wet, the wind, sun and humidity level has the potential of drying everything on top causing a fire to grow rapidly.

Also be mindful of the constantly changing weather conditions and help our residents in making good burning decisions!

This in then will help the fire department when resources are limited.

Thank you,
