The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on September 17, 2012.
Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.
Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.
Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Dillsburg EMS responded to 113 calls for the month of August with none in Washington Township. Franklintown Fire Company responded to 14 calls for the month with 1 call in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 9 calls for the month with 1 in the township. There was no report from East Berlin Fire Company.
Subdivision Plans:
Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the Subdivision Plans as presented for Red Run Church. They are separating the church from the cemetery. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
Business from the Floor:
Resident Gerald Myers presented the Supervisors with a picture of the covered bridge on Kralltown Rd dated 1907.
Old Business:
The Supervisors discussed the address issue on Wellsville Rd. They asked the Solicitor what they need to do. Since the road is already shown on the maps as Kralltown Road, she told them to assign the residents new address using Kralltown Rd instead of Wellsville Rd. No resolution was needed.
Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded the residents that Fall Clean-up will be October 3rd and 4th, from 8:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M.
Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adopt Resolution 2012-03, Fee Schedule for the Stormwater Management Ordinance. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
New Business:
The Supervisors discussed the Budget Preparation Meeting. They will check with Supervisor Propps what date will work for him and then have the Secretary advertise the meeting.
Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to renew the 2012-2013 Hanover Chamber of Commerce Membership Renewal. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
Solicitor’s Report:
Solicitor Sharon Myers reported that she is reviewing the draft updated Zoning Ordinances.
Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
