The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on September 15, 2014.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Dillsburg EMS responded to 152 calls for the month of August, 4 calls were in Washington Township. Franklintown Fire Company responded to 31 calls for the month with 1 in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 14 calls with 3 in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 19 calls, but there were no calls in the township. The ambulance responded to 76 calls with 1 call in Washington Township.

Subdivision Plans:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the Subdivision plans as presented for Grace Nell Harbold Subdivision, parcel KC-1F. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

There was no Business from the Floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of Fall Clean-up scheduled for October 1 & 2, from 8:00A.M. until 3:30 P.M.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adopt Ordinance 2014-01, lowering the speed limit from 40 MPH to 30MPH on Kralltown Rd from the Wellsville Rd to Myers RD. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Resident John Peters on Bermudian Church Rd presented his comments to submit to CS Davidson for review, for the new bridge replacement project on Bermudian Church Rd.

New Business:

The date for the Budget Preparation meeting was set for Tuesday October 7, at 9:00 A.M. The Secretary will advertise the meeting in the paper.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to renew the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce Membership for 2014-2015. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to attend the York County Association of Townships Convention on November 13, at Heritage Hills. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor informed residents of the review period for proposed FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps. Residents can come to the Township Office or go online under York County Planning Commission to review the proposed new maps. Surveyor Todd Lyons explained more in depth the appeal process. Anyone needing his service may contact him at their expense.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to add.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $ 19,443.38 and the State Account totaling $ 6,008.19. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:07 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
