The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on April 18, 2016.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Franklintown Fire Company responded to 15 calls for the month of March and no calls were in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 24 calls for the month and 2 calls were in Washington Township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 14 calls total with 2 in the township. The ambulance responded to 67 calls in March and 7 were in the township. There was no report from Dillsburg EMS.

Subdivision Plans:

Resident Ken Brown of 1962 Ridge Rd questioned subdividing property from his neighbor David Fisher, at 1968 Ridge Rd., to do as an add-on to his property. The Planning Commission advised him to attend the meeting to ask the Solicitor, due to conflicting comments. After reviewing the ordinances and his proposed plan, Solicitor Sharon Myers stated he would be allowed to purchase property from Mr. Brown, provided that the plan states the piece of property will be an integral part of his property and a new deed must be made showing the land all as one parcel. He can proceed with the Subdivision process.

Business from the Floor:

Amy Evans from York County Planning Commission, talked to residents about a County Stormwater Management Authority. She informed the Supervisors that they will be updated as more information is provided.

Resident Rosalie Pakenham questioned the cost of ambulance service even if you pay for a membership.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of Spring Clean-up, April 20, 21, 8:00-4:30 and 22nd 8:00-12:00.

At 8:00 Supervisor Dan McGregor opened bids as advertised from Vulcan and York Building Products for assorted stones. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to award the bid to York Building Products. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion. Two bids were submitted for the delivery and distribution of E-3 Emulsion and E-3M Emulsion. They were from Hammaker East and Wilson Paving. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to award the bid to Hammaker East. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to award Speciality Emulsions Inc, the only bid for E-3 picked up. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to award Edris Oils for various fuels at the fluctuating price. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion

New Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor informed residents of the June 1st deadline for Ag Security Applications to be turned into the Township Office.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing else to report.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $ 6,473.35 and the State Account totaling $ 4,038.15. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:32 P.M. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.
