The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on November 20, 2017.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 50 calls for the month of October and 3 were in the Washington Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 28 calls for the month with 2 in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 36 calls, 1 was in the township. The ambulance responded to 92 calls total and 3 were in Washington Township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adopt the 2018 Budget as presented. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to appoint and sign the contract agreement to hire Smith Elliot Kearns and Co. to perform the 2017 Audit, replacing the elected auditor. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion sign & renew the Quick Book Consultant Agreement with Mary Coble. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of the coupon for the Festival of Lights at Rocky Ridge Park.

It is available on the website or in the Township Office.

New Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor read an application that was received for land at 227 Kralltown Rd to be added in to Washington Township’s Ag Security program. No action will be taken until settlement of the property.

Supervisor Dan McGregor requested an executive session after the meeting to discuss a legal issue.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. asked the Solicitor about the casino resolution information that was received.

She said a resolution needs to be done by December 31, 2017.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers stated she has received the updated SALDO & Zoning Ordinances changes. She can submit the required advertisement. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. stated they are not yet ready as they are still reviewing the changes.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling

$3,855.41 and the State Account totaling $ 1,409.67. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 P. M. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.
