The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on October 21, 2019.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the September minutes as read. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report as read and to be filed for audit. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Geisinger EMS responded to 154 calls for the months of September, 5 of the calls were in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 43 calls, 4 were in the township. Northeast Adams EMS responded to 31 calls, 4 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 103 calls with 10 calls in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reported on the 2020 Budget. There are no plans for any major projects or purchase of large equipment and taxes will remain the same. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to have the Secretary advertise the proposed budget. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion. The budget will be voted on at November’s meeting.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Secretary advertise to appoint a certified public accounting firm to perform the 2019 audit, replacing the elected Auditors at December’s meeting. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to renew the York County SPCA Agreement for 2020 at a cost of $1,377.11. This is a 3% increase. Rates have remained the same since 2012. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to renew the 2019-2020 membership for Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to renew the Quick Books Consultant agreement with Mary Coble. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to appoint Michael Steinke as an alternate to the Zoning Hearing Board. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Evan Gabel was substituting for Sharon Myers. He had nothing additional to comment on.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $13,154.50 and the State Account totaling $9,776.74. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan Mc Gregor made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:43 P. M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
