Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

Resident Gerald Stiffler of 922 Wellsville Rd and several other residents informed the Supervisors of a problem with emergency responders using GPS location for their addresses on the stretch of Wellsville Rd, from Doe Run to the square in Kralltown. The problem seems to be that maps show that part of the road as Kralltown Rd, but their addresses are all Wellsville Rd. The residents feel their addresses should be changed to Kralltown Rd. The Supervisors will look into the problem first and have the Secretary notify Dillsburg Ambulance and Wellsville Fire Company Chief immediately of the problem. Resident Dawn Anderson questioned the Supervisors about the tall grass at the elementary school. There is no maintenance ordinance, which would require them to mow the grass. Resident Caroll Myers thanked the Supervisors for the new road sign.

Michael Regan introduced himself. He is running for State Representative for the 92nd District.

Old Business:

Supervisor Jeff Propps reported that he has made the changes requested by York County Planning Commission for the new updated zoning ordinances. He will provide a copy for the solicitor to review.

He also reported on the information on Act 46 extension of all permits issued after December 31, 2008 through July 2, 2013. They are now extended until July 2, 2016.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion for Washington Township to attend the York County Association of 2nd Class Township Convention on Nov 8, 2012. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers reported that Act 13 was challenged and appealed. It currently is not enforceable. She requested an Executive Session after the meeting.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:01 P.M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Respectfully Submitted,

Diane Deardorff, Secretary/Treasurer
