The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on January 16, 2017.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor gave the following reports. For the month of December, Dillsburg EMS responded to 130 calls total with 5 calls in Washington Township. Year to date total was 1737 calls and 63 of them were in Washington Township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 16 calls total with 2 in the township and the ambulance responded to 72 calls total and 3 were in the township. Year to date, the fire company responded to 265 calls and 31calls were in Washington Township and the ambulance responded to 963 calls with 87 of those were in the township.

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

There was no old business.

New Business:

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to exonerate the Tax Collector from collecting unpaid per capita taxes for 2016. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Jeff Propps talked to Franklintown Fire Chief Mike Weitzel about Creek Road closure due to construction. It was suggested to hold a meeting with the Supervisors, EMS personal and residents of Creek Road. The Secretary will arrange the meeting.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Lee Ann Miller informed Supervisors of the small increase in bidding. Contracts over $10,700 to $19,700 require three written or telephone quotes, over $19,700 require advertisements for bids.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $4,862.96 and the State Account totaling $1,019.88. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
