The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on March 18, 2019.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the February minutes as read. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 47 calls for the month of February and 3 calls were in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 31 calls in January with 1 in the township. For February they responded to 36 calls and 1 was in the township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 29 calls, 3 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 79 calls total and 5 were in the township

Subdivision Plans:

Resident William Weigle of 101 Red Run Church Rd and Surveyor Todd Lyons presented plans to consolidate Mr. Weigle’s 3 parcels into one. They requested a waiver from the Formal Submission Requirements. Planning Commission had reviewed and requested the statement that no further subdivision or building rights remain with this parcel and be placed on the plan, which it is. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the waiver and Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion. Mr. Lyons requested a letter from the Township Solicitor stating this information.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the plan as presented. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

Resident Peter Frazier inquired about Holy Spirit/Geisinger EMS membership. The Township has received information that mailings will be sent out in March sometime.

Old Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. reported he talked to the farmer about spraying near residents. This was probably a 1 time thing they did to spray corn for fungus but the farmer will notify the Township if they do spray again. The Township can then notify those residents were they will be spraying.

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents that Spring Clean-Up will be Wednesday and Thursday April 24, & 25 from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. and Saturday April 27, 7:00 until 11:00.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Secretary advertise for bids for various stones, road oil, hot mix black top and fuels. Bids will be opened at next months’ meeting on April 15th at 8:00 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to adopt Resolution 2019-03 approval for York County 2018 Hazard Mitigation Plan. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Steven McDonald was present for Sharon Myers. He reminded Supervisors of the April 19th deadline for the inspection of the underground tank at Kralltown Elementary School.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $3,727.60 and the State Account totaling $3,732.59. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:48 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.
