The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on May 20, 2019.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the April minutes as read. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports for the month of April. Geisinger EMS responded to 155 calls total, 5 were in the Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 40 calls and 1 was in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 16 calls total and 1 was in the Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 28 calls for the month and 1 was in the Township. The ambulance responded to 90 calls and 2 were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

Residents Joseph & Heather Spicer of 9295 Carlisle Rd were present to discuss the Township boundary line for their property. When they purchased the property their deed stated they were in Washington Township. They now want to be in Warrington Township so their children can go to Northern School District. The Solicitor stated that the Township engineer could research the issue and prove where the Township line is. The Supervisors will get back to them on this matter.

Corporal Mohn from the Pa State Police was present to report on calls from November thru April. There were 158 varieties of calls with the majority of the calls being traffic related. Supervisor Dan McGregor asked if they could increase coverage on Bakers Watering Trough Rd due to the detour in Adams County on Stoney Point Rd.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of the June 1st deadline for Ag Security Applications to be turned in to the office.

New Business:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve Resolution 2019-04 Opposing House Bill 349 requiring Municipalities to have 2 or more third party agencies for enforcing the Uniform Construction Codes. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor informed residents of a Rent-a-Kid program through the York County Area of Aging, where teenagers can help residents of 60 years of age with chores and mowing grass.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers announced a free seminar on June 12 with CGA Law Firm on Land Development & Subdivision.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $24,420.32 and the State Account totaling $7,861.23. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the

motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:07 P.M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
