The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on July 16, 2012.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Franklintown Fire Company responded to 21 calls for the month of June with 1 call in Washington Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 15 calls for the month with 1 in the township. There was no report from East Berlin Fire Company or Dillsburg EMS.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Jeff Propps reported that York County Planning Commission reviewed the township’s updated ordinances. They had 53 comments. As a member of the York County Planning Commission, Jeff withdrew from voting on the ordinances. He will now meet with Solicitor Sharon Myers to review the changes needed. Resident Rosalie Pakenham commended Jeff on his hard work of the updated ordinances.

Solicitor Sharon Myers presented the updated copy of the stand alone Stormwater Management Ordinance 2012-02. She noted the items that were changed since last months meeting. She had advertised the ordinance before so the Supervisors could take action now. Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to adopt Ordinance 2012-12. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion. Any cost related to this ordinance must be handled by the property owner. Solicitor Myers presented a sample Fee Schedule for the Supervisors to review and discuss Byron Trout’s fees. After the fees are determined a Resolution will need to be adopted.

New Business:

The Fall Clean-up dates were discussed and set for October 3rd and 4th from 8:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read information on Act 46 extension and how it was included in the State’s 2012/2013 budget, extending permits until July 2, 2016. Solicitor Myers will look into the details of the extension.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to discuss but requested an Executive Session after the meeting.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:56 P.M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
