The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on November 17, 2014.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Dillsburg EMS responded to 148 calls for the month of October with 8 calls in Washington Township. Franklintown Fire Company responded to 42 calls total with 6 calls in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 14 calls for the month with 2 in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 27 calls, 8 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 80 calls with 7 calls in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

Resident John Peters asked the Supervisors for their support with the bridge replacement plans to keep it away from his tree. Several residents suggested to him to contact the media or a Historical Protection group.

Old Business:

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to adopt the 2015 Budget as presented. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of the coupon for the Festival of Lights at Rocky Ridge Park.

It is available on the website or in the Township Office.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Solicitor advertise for an Ordinance to reaffirm the Township’s participation in PSATS Unemployment Compensation Group Trust. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to add.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $ 10,243.85 and the State Account totaling $ 14,757.49. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:52 P. M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
