The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on December 21, 2015.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Tracey Cook with Dillsburg EMS reported that the ambulance responded to 137 calls for the month of November, 7 calls were in Washington Township.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Franklintown Fire Company responded to 26 calls for the month with 4 in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 28 calls and 3 were in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 24 calls with 4 in the township and the ambulance responded to 68 calls total and 4 were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to have the Secretary sign the DEP Sewage Module Exemption form for Josh Melhorn. This is for his lot at 102 Pine Ridge RD East Berlin. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

Anthony Pugliese introduced himself as a candidate for the 92nd District for the House of Representatives.

Old Business:

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to approve Resolution 2015-02, appointing Smith Elliot Kearns & Company as the certified public accountant to perform the 2015 audit, replacing the elected auditors. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion adopt Resolution 2015-03 setting the tax rates at the same rate as they were. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

New Business:

The Supervisors set the 2016 Reorganizational Meeting for January 4, 2016 at 3:30 P.M.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. Jeff Propps made a motion to renew PSATS Membership for 2016 at a cost of $1,112.00. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to have the Solicitor advertise for an Ordinance to establish a 35 MPH speed limit on Pine Ridge Road following a traffic study done by TRG. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to add.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $8,467.95 and the State Account totaling $7,207.22. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:46 P.M. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.
