The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on August 15, 2016.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Dillsburg EMS responded to 157 calls for the month of July, 3 calls were in Washington Township. Franklintown Fire Company responded to 30 calls for the month, 1 was in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 19 calls with 1 in the township. East Berlin responded to 19 calls in July, 1 was in the township. The ambulance responded to 106 calls, 7 were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded resident of the Fall Clean-up on October 5 & 6 from 8:00 until 3:30.

New Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor read a news release from York County Solid Waste on the relocation of its residential electronics recycling program due to the start of construction of an ash processing and recycling facility.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers opened the hearing for the new ordinances as advertised. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to continue the hearing at next month’s meeting to give the Washington Township Planning Commission time to comment on the changes. Supervisor Harlen Anderson seconded the motion.

Solicitor Myers stated she needs an executive meeting afterwards to discuss a pension matter.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $12,634.67 and the State Account totaling $ 9,763.99. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 P.M. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.
