The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on February 20, 2017.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Dillsburg EMS responded to 131 calls for the month of January with 4 in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 41 calls for the month but no calls were in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company provided several reports. For the month of December they responded to 14 calls and 1 was in the Township. The 2016 Year End Report, there was a total of 234 calls with 26 of those in Washington Township. January they responded to 17 calls with 2 of those in the Township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 24 calls and 3 were in the Township. The ambulance responded to 85 calls and 7 were in the Township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no subdivision plans.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reported on his meeting with the local fire chiefs about the Creek Rd closure. They all were aware of the closure and have made changes to add extra equipment because of the road closure.

New Business:

The Supervisors set the dates for Spring Clean-Up. They will be Wednesday and Thursday April 19 & 20 from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. and Friday April 21, 8:00 until 12:00.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers reported that when the Zoning Ordinances and the SALDO are updated that enforcement penalties can not exceed $500.00.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $9,550.08 and the State Account totaling $1,222.49. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
