The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on March 20, 2017.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Dillsburg EMS responded to 156 calls for the month of February with 3 in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 40 calls for the month and 1 was in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 14 calls with 4 in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 22 calls, 5 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 87 calls for the month of February and 11 were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

Resident Clifford Weaver, of Baltimore Pike and his attorney questioned if property at 69 Reynolds Rd had a building right. Supervisor Dan McGregor advised them to follow the procedure to go first to the Washington Township Planning Commission and they can research the history of that property.

Realtor, Patrick Shaffer representing Monte Bordner, asked if there were building rights to Monte’s property on the west side of Baltimore Pike. Monte is interested in selling the land as one parcel, but would like to inform a potential buyer if the land could be subdivided. Supervisor Dan McGregor advised them also to follow the procedure to go first to the Washington Township Planning Commission.

Business from the Floor:

Attorney Chuck Hobbs introduced himself to the Supervisors and residents. He is running for York County Common Pleas Judge.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents that Spring Clean-Up will be Wednesday and Thursday April 19 & 20 from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. and Friday April 21, 8:00 until 12:00.

New Business:

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to have the Secretary advertise for bids for various stones, road oil, and fuels. Bids will be opened at next months’ meeting on April 17th at 8:00 P.M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers asked Supervisors if they wanted her to intervene on Dapp’s Zoning Hearing Appeal. Their answer was no. She had nothing additional to report.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $3,595.70 and the State Account totaling $2,419.09. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
