The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on April 17, 2017.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Dillsburg EMS responded to 153 calls for the month of March and 2 were in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 27 calls for the month but no calls were in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 24 calls for the month and 2 calls were in Washington Township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 23 calls total with 3 in the township. The ambulance responded to 86 calls in March and 8 were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

Gary Trimmer from Zimmerman Homes, representing Stephen Toth, owner of 42 Red Run Church Rd asked for a DEP Planning Exemption to be signed. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to sign and Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion. Toth is subdividing 10 acres from the 124 acre parcel. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. stated that the final subdivision plans must state only one building right with the 10 acre parcel.

Business from the Floor:

Eric Clauser, owner of 1824 Baltimore Pike questioned the Supervisors if he could purchase land from his neighbor to add on to his property, in order to expand his garage and business. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. advised him to get measurements of the existing property and buildings and meet with the Supervisors first. He may need a Zoning Hearing for the expansion of his business.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of Spring Clean-up, April 19, 20, 8:00-4:30 and 21 8:00-12:00.

At 8:00 Supervisor Dan McGregor opened bids as advertised. Bids from Vulcan and York Building Products were received for assorted stones. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to award the bid to Vulcan. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion. York Building Products did not have the correct bid information submitted. Two bids were submitted for the delivery and distribution of E-3 Emulsion and E-3M Emulsion. They were from Hammaker East and Wilson Paving. Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to award the bid to Hammaker East. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to award Edris Oils for various fuels at the fluctuating price. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion. Edris was the only bidder for fuels.

New Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor informed residents of the June 1st deadline for Ag Security Applications to be turned into the Township Office.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Evan Gabel, substituting for Sharon Myers, reported the office has received title history for the Calvert property on Reynolds Rd. They will need to review the information as to building rights available.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $ 4,378.83 and the State Account totaling $ 2,182.79. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 P.M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
