The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on June 19, 2017.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Dillsburg EMS responded to 137 calls for the month of May, 3 calls were in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 40 calls total with 2 in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 12 calls in May with 1 in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 18 calls for the month and 4 were in the township. The Ambulance responded to 83 calls and 7 were in the Township.

Subdivision Plans:

Gary Trimmer from Zimmerman Homes presented the Toth final subdivision plans for 42 Red Run Church Rd. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the plans. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Surveyor Clark Craumer, presented preliminary plans for Musser, Trostle subdivision. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Secretary sign the non-building waiver. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion. After further review and questions, Supervisor Harlen Anderson, stated they must have 300’ of road frontage because of the Woodland Preservation Zone or go through a zoning hearing. They can not use flag lot requirements. Mr. Craumer will check on road frontage.

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

There was no old business.

New Business:

The Supervisors discussed the Memorandum of Understanding from West Shore Advanced Life Support Services. They have to many unanswered questions, so Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to table the issue until they get more information. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers provided the Supervisors with information on Act 172 of 2016, which would provide a tax credit for members of volunteer fire companies and nonprofit emergency medical services. The Supervisors will review the information.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $ 3,707.79 and the State Account totaling $ 7,494.32. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 P.M. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.
