The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on January 15, 2018.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the minutes as read.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and filed for audit.

Supervisor Dan McGregor gave the following reports. For the month of December, Geisinger EMS responded to 135 calls total with 4 calls in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 47 calls total with 2 in the township. Year end total was 458 calls and 13 were in Washington Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 33 calls for the month, 3 were in the township. They had a total of 251 calls for the year and 22 were in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 28 calls total for the month with 3 in the township. Their year end total was 282 calls and 29 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 87 calls total for the month and 9 were in the township. Year to date the ambulance responded to 1,026 calls with 75 of those in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

There was only one bid received for the 2007 Chevrolet Dump Truck as advertised. The Boro of Sayre, Pennsylvania submitted a bid of $20,000.00. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to award the bid to Sayre as presented. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Solicitor advertise for review to have property at 227 Kralltown Rd be added to Washington Township’s Ag Security Area. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to exonerate the Tax Collector from collecting unpaid per capita taxes for 2017. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to sign the Code Administration Agreement with Keith Hunnings of South Penn Code Consultants, LLC, as the township’s alternate SEO Officer as appointed at the Reorganizational Meeting. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to adopt Resolution 2018-1, Fee Schedule for 2018. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor called for an Executive Session following the meeting to discuss a legal issue.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor commented that it is a privilege and pleasure to be elected as Supervisor for the Township. Ralph noted that he has been on the Township’s Planning Commission since it began. He is looking forward to serving the community.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers informed Supervisors of the 2018 bid limits for purchases. Purchases or Contracts over $20,100 require advertisements, over $10,900 to $20,100 require three written or telephone quotes.

She also informed everyone they are welcome to attend a Right-to Know Seminar, held by her office on February 13. Anyone interested must RSVP by February 9th.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $8,209.92 and the State Account totaling $2,616.68. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:56 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
