The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on February 19, 2018.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the minutes as read.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved to file for audit.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 53 calls for the month of January and 2 calls were in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 36 calls with 2 of those in the Township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 38 calls and 3 were in the Township. The ambulance responded to 119 calls and 4 were in the Township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no subdivision plans.

Business from the Floor:

Resident Caroll Myers questioned the name of Rt 194 otherwise know as Baltimore Pike in Washington Township and known as Baltimore Road in Franklin Township and the confusion it made for the location of an accident.

Resident Peter Frazier questioned the membership of Dillsburg Ambulance and the now Geisinger EMS. Supervisor Dan McGregor said they should be covered until the renewal date.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to close the meeting at 7:48. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion. Supervisor Dan McGregor opened the meeting for the Ag Security Hearing. Solicitor Sharon Myers read the information for the applicant, James Eisenhour Jr. and Gloria for their property at 227 Kralltown Rd. The Ag Security Advisory Board for Washington Township and the Washington Township Planning Commission both have approved this addition. No comments were made. The hearing was closed. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to reopen the meeting at 7:50 and Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to amend the 2018 Fee Schedule by adding Road Occupancy Permit-to work in Right-of Way at a set fee of $500.00. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

New Business:

The Supervisors set the dates for Spring Clean-Up. They will be Wednesday and Thursday April 25 & 26 from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. and Friday April 27, 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor noted that he would like to consider extending the time for the next Clean-up.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to report.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $16,116.72 and the State Account totaling $4,605.77. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8.01 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
