The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on December 18, 2017.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Geisinger EMS responded to 4 calls total for the month of November in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 35 calls for the month, none were in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 24 calls total and 1 was in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 16 calls with 3 in the township and the ambulance responded to 71 calls total and none were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Secretary sign the Non-Building waiver for Brown/Fisher subdivision. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the final subdivision plans for Ken Brown/David Fisher at 1962 & 1968 Ridge Rd, as presented. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of a coupon for a discount at Rocky Ridge Park -Festival of Lights.

New Business:

The Supervisors set the 2017 Reorganizational Meeting for January 2, 2018 at 3:30 P.M.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to have the Secretary advertise for the meeting. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adopt Resolution 2017-3 setting the 2018 Per Capita, Reality Transfer and Real Estate Taxes at the same rate as last year. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adopt Resolution 2017-4 prohibiting the location of Category 4 casinos in Washington Township. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor thanked Supervisor Jeff Propps for his 12 years of dedication to the township as Supervisor. Jeff’s work on the Comprehensive Plan saved the township thousands of dollars. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. also expressed his gratitude and commented on what a pleasure it was working with Jeff over the years.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to add.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $6,020.38 and the State Account totaling $765.95. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 P.M. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.
