The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on March 19, 2018.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the February minutes as read. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Holy Spirit EMS responded to 171 calls for the month of January with 4 calls in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 54 calls for the month of February and 5 calls were in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 39 calls with 1 in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 17 calls, 3 were in the township. There was no ambulance report.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

Resident Caroll Myers asked if the Township could check on the temporary parking area at the end of Creek Road and when it will be restored to its original condition. She stated vehicles are parking there during the night. Supervisor Dan McGregor said they will have the Secretary look into it.

Resident Peter Fraser asked clarification if Washington Township has a contract with Holy Spirit EMS.

Supervisor Dan McGregor informed him they do and they could submit their membership to Holy Spirit EMS.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents that Spring Clean-Up will be Wednesday and Thursday April 25, & 26 from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. and Friday April 27, 8:00 until 12:00.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Secretary advertise for bids for various stones, road oil, and fuels. Bids will be opened at next months’ meeting on April 16th at 8:00 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read an application for the Ag Security Area submitted by Archie & Cynthia Diveglia for parcels ID-14 & ID-14A with a total of 102.81 acres. They will wait the 180 day time period.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to appoint Supervisor Ralph McGregor to the York County Local Government Committee representing Washington Township. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read information for York County Home Improvement Program. Brochures with information are available in the Township Office.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers presented a sample ordinance establishing the procedures for the Retention of Township Records and regarding Electronic Mail. The Supervisors will review the information since the Township currently does not have one.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $3,725.82 and the State Account totaling $3,535.96. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:48 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
