The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on August 20, 2018

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the July minutes as read. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Holy Spirit EMS responded to 5 calls in Washington Township for the month of July. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 42 calls for the month, 4 were in the township. Wellsville Fire Company report for June had 21 calls for the month, 1 was in the township. In July they responded to 34 calls with 2 in the township. East Berlin Fire Company responded to 33 calls in July, 3 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 89 calls, 6 were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

Several residents asked if intersections at Davidsburg Rd & RT 194, Pondtown & RT 194 and Barrens Church & Franklin Church Rd could be mowed. Supervisor Dan McGregor said they would have the Secretary contact Penn Dot.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of Fall Clean Up on October 3rd & 4th from 8:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M.

180 days for Archie Diveglia’s application for Ag Security will be up on September 12th. Solicitor Sharon Myers will prepare the resolution adding it to Washington Township Ag Security Area for next month’s meeting.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor informed residents that contact has been made with Dover School District about the Phase I Study request. He was informed that next week they are to schedule the date when the study will be done.

New Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to sign Resolution 2018-05, requiring all three (3) Supervisors signatures on all State Accounts. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read information from Penn State Extension Office on a Safe Drinking Water Clinic on September 18 at Manchester Township Building. This is for anyone with well or spring water.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion for the Township to attend the York County Association of Second Class Township Convention on November 15th at Heritage Hills, York. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor suggested looking into an App for Washington Township to communicate with residents and possibly installing security cameras on the township building.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to add.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $21,246.35 and the State Account totaling $37,644.86. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:59 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.
