The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on April 15, 2019.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the March minutes as read. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Geisinger Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to 153 calls in February. 6 calls were in Washington Township. They had 150 dispatches for March, 3 were in the township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 52 calls for the month of March and 4 calls were in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 35 calls for the month and 3 calls were in Washington Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 33 calls total with 8 in the township. The ambulance responded to 98 calls in March, 11 calls were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

Surveyor Clark Crammer presented the subdivision plans for Michael Melhorn on Pine Ridge Rd and Davidsburg Road for re-approval. Plans were approved by the board at October 2018 meeting but were denied by DEP because of bog turtles and bats. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to re-approve the plans as presented. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

Resident Caroll Myers had building permit questions which were answered by Zoning Officer, Karen Riddle.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of Spring Clean-up on April 24, 25, 8:00-4:30 and 27th 7:00-11:00 A.M.

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents Ag Security Applications are due in the office by June 1st.

New Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor announced York County Solid Waste Tire Disposal, April 22-May 17 and their Household Hazardous Waste Collection on May 4. This information is on the Township’s Website.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers reminded the Supervisors of the April 19th deadline to check for the underground tank at Kralltown Elementary School. Supervisor Anderson stated they did check and no tank was found.

At 8:00 Supervisor Dan McGregor opened bids as advertised. Bids from Vulcan and York Building Products were received for assorted stones. Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to award the bid to Vulcan. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion. Two bids were submitted for the delivery and distribution of E-3 Emulsion and E-3M Emulsion. They were from Hammaker East and Wilson Paving. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to award the bid to Hammaker East. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to award the only bid for Superpave Material to York Materials Group. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to award Edris Oils for various fuels at the fluctuating price. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion. Edris was the only bidder for fuels.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $ 11,058.01 and the State Account totaling $ 4,887.68. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:16 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
