The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on August 19, 2019

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the July minutes as read. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Geisinger EMS responded to 144 calls for the month of July, 2 of those were in Washington Township. Northeast Adams Fire & Recue responded to 34 calls in July, 2 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 91 calls, 5 were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents that Fall Clean-up will be Oct 3rd, 4th & 5th.

New Business:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion for the Township to attend the York County Association of Second Class Township Convention on November 14th at Heritage Hills, York. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

The Supervisors agreed to participate in York County’s Christmas Magic-Festival of Lights at Rocky Ridge Park again this year. Coupons will be available in the office or on the Township’s website.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to discuss but did request a brief executive session to discuss property acquisition.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $21,246.35 and the State Account totaling $37,644.86. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:38 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
