The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on November 18, 2019.

Supervisors Dan McGregor and Harlen Anderson, Jr. were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the minutes as read. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report as read and to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 41 calls for the month and 1 was in Washington Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 24 calls for the month with 1 in the township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 38 calls, 3 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 104 calls total and 9 were in Washington Township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business from the floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to adopt the 2019 Budget for the General Account and the State Account, as presented. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of the coupon for the Festival of Lights at Rocky Ridge Park. It is available on the website or in the Township Office.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the Fire Company Agreement with Northern York County Fire Rescue. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion. This is the first agreement since Franklintown and Dillsburg Fire Companies merged.

There were two openings for auditors. Thomas Brumagen won with write-ins for both positions. He will need to resign from one leaving one position open. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to appoint Mike Myers for the vacancy for Auditor. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers stated the Supervisor’s Reorganizational Meeting must be held on January 6, 2020.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling

$7,557.36 and the State Account totaling $2,887.00. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:46 P. M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
