The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on January 20, 2020.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the minutes as read.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. For the month of December, Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 42 calls total with 5 in the township. For the year they responded to 526 calls with 39 in Washington Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 22 calls for the month, 2 were in the township. They had a total of 349 calls for the year and 37 were in the township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 29 calls total for the month with 3 in the township. Their year end total was 400 calls and 52 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 93 calls total for the month and 12 were in the township. For the year the ambulance responded to 1172.

Subdivision Plans:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the Land Development Plan for Terry Sweitzer, 120 Harbold Altland Rd. Wellsville. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion. Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the Letter of Credit as presented. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve Resolution 2020-02 for the Small Flow Treatment Facility at 301 Mine Bank Rd. Wellsville. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

Resident Caroll Myers asked about the selling of Kralltown Elementary School and why York County Planning Commission was commenting on the issue. Supervisor Ralph McGregor explained that is was part of the process and should have been done in the beginning when the school first went up for sale.

Old Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the Fire/EMS run cards as presented by EMA Coordinator Kevin Brehm. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to exonerate the Tax Collector from collecting unpaid per capita taxes for 2019. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to adopt Resolution 2020-01, Fee Schedule for 2020.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers informed Supervisors of the 2020 bid limits for purchases. Purchases or Contracts over $21,000 require advertisements, over $11,300 to $21,000 require three written or telephone quotes.

She also informed everyone of a Boot Camp that CGA Law Firm will be offering on January 29th. Registration is required.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $27,912.32 and the State Account totaling $1,921.45. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
