The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on June 15, 2020

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the May minutes as read. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports for May. Geisinger EMS responded to 130 calls for the month of May, 4 calls were in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 40 calls total with 2 in the Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 27 calls for the month and 2 were in the Township. The Ambulance responded to 88 calls and 1 was in the Township.

Subdivision Plans:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to have the Secretary sign the Planning & Non-Building Waiver for Ray & Beverly Crone subdivision for Parcel MD-2 on Kralltown Rd. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion. Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the plans as presented and allowing Ray to hand write Lot 2 instead of Lot 3, under the General Notes on the plan which was a typographical error. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion. There are no Building Rights remaining for Lot 1 or Lot 2.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the Waiver/Modification Requests from Hanover Land Services for the Eldon & Joanne Martin Subdivision Plan. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion. The request deals with size of plans, contours, dedication of right-of-way and monuments.

Business from the Floor:

JT Hand, President & CEO of the York Water Company presented an application for the Supervisors to sign, for submission to the PA Public Utility commission. This application is part of the process which will allow the York Water Company to acquire the water and wastewater assets of the Country View Manor Community on Roland Rd. This will be a satellite site with no plans to develop anywhere in Washington Township.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents that Clean-up is rescheduled for June 18th from 8:00-3:30 and June 20th, 8:00-12:00

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. stated that the Supervisors will not adopt an ordinance pertaining to mowing grass unto Township roads, as a follow up from a complaint. He explained that the Township is a rural, agricultural area and enforcement would be very difficult. He read information about a bill introduced last year to the state concerning this issue, but no action has been taken as of date.

New Business:

Three applications for the Township’s Ag Security Program were reviewed. Eric Berkheimer, parcel MC-28 & MC-28B, Janet & Thomas Rudy, parcel LC-8 & MC-3 and Robert & Sharon Baumgardner, parcel MC-44A. Solicitor Sharon Myers will handle the process needed to add these parcels into the Township’s program.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to discuss.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling

$3,026.03 and the State Account totaling $ 7,900.97. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:24 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
