The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on May 17, 2021.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the April minutes as read. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. For the month of March, Penn State Health Life Lion responded to 165 calls, 6 were in Washington Township. In April, they responded to 153 calls total, 6 were in the Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 42 calls in April, 2 were in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 21 calls, 3 were in the Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 24 calls for the month of April, 1 was in the Township. The ambulance responded to 86 calls, 5 were in Washington Township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

Robin Heyser, EBACC President, reported on the current activities at the Community Center and 4 main options for plans in the future. The Supervisors have the packets of information to review and discuss how the Township wishes to proceed. The changing of school districts may have some factor in their decision.

Old Business:

Supervisors reviewed latest information on possible wording for CAP & COM processes for the Township’s Ordinances. This information was provided by the York County Planning Commission.

New Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor informed residents over the age of 60, that vouchers for fruits and vegetables are available to York County Residents through the York County Area of Aging, if they qualify. Residents should contact the Area of Aging Office for more information and applications.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers provided the latest information on the American Rescue Plan Act. There are still many questions on what the money can be used for.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $4,174.99 and the State Account totaling $5,623.17. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the

motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.
