The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on August 15, 2011.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following report. Franklintown Fire Company responded to 35 calls for the month of July with none in Washington Township. There was no report from Dillsburg EMS, Wellsville Fire Company or East Berlin Fire Company.

Subdivision Plans:

There was no subdivision plans presented.

Business from the Floor:

Resident Caroll Myers questioned how the Memorandum Agreement between York County Conservation and Washington Township will affect the residents. Supervisor Jeff Propps explained the details to her.

Old Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adopt Resolution 2011-01 Fire Insurance Escrow Ordinance. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Supervisor Jeff Propps reported that he has not heard from County on the updated ordinances he submitted. This includes the County’s Integrated Water Resource Plan compliances, which has a deadline of October 12. He will submit the plan to county through the ordinance. Solicitor Sharon Myers has heard a lot of controversies about the plan and will be attending a meeting in the near future to be briefed on this matter. She stated the October 12 deadline has an extension period after that.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. reported that they checked Bross Dr. and did not find any problems.

The Maintenance Letter of Credit expires on September 15 and the township will be totally responsible for this road.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve and sign the renewal contract for Quick Books Consultant, Mary Coble. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

Fall Clean-up date was set for October 6, from 8:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M.

An Ordinance from Adams York County Earned Income Tax was discussed. Supervisor Jeff Propps and Solicitor Sharon Myers will review the changes to the ordinance do to Act 32.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to discuss.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:47 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
