Several residents have recently asked the Supervisors to consider an ordinance fining residents who blow grass clippings on to roads. While Supervisors are reluctant to adopt an ordinance, they are encouraging residents to use common sense and not blow grass onto the roads. Grass on roads can be extremely slick for motorcyclists, especially if it’s wet, almost resembling ice. It also can wash and clog up storm drains which can cause drainage issues that might create excessive water on the roads. Lawsuits have been filed against property owners which involved accidents, where they claimed grass clippings created a dangerous situation.

PLEASE think of the safety of others and BLOW YOUR GRASS back into your own property!
