Board of Supervisor’s Meeting Minutes for Monday, June 17, 2013

The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on June 17, 2013

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

Tracey Cook with Dillsburg EMS reported a total of 111 calls for the month of May with 7 in Washington Township. Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Franklintown Fire Company responded to 37 calls for the month with 2 in the township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 18 calls total for the month with 5 in the township. There was no report from East Berlin Fire Company.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no plans for the month presented.

Business from the Floor:

Resident Ginny Boden requested Zoning Hearing notices be added to the Web-site and Hearing Decisions. Supervisor Jeff Propps reported that the Hearing Decision did not come in yet to be reviewed by the Zoning Hearing Board, but when it has been approved it can be put on the web-site.

Resident Caroll Myers commented on the excellent mowing job on Hull Drive and Shippensburg Rd. that was done by Supervisors Harlen Anderson, Jr.

Old Business:

Supervisor Jeff Propps reported that he is on Chapter 5 of the updates to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinances. He is waiting for further comments from the other Supervisors on the updated Zoning Ordinances.

 

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. reported the new mower tractor has arrived. A few things need to be adjusted before the bill is paid.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to report.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to pay bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $5,747.59 and the State Account totaling $2,498.31. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:42 P.M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.
