The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on March 16, 2020.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the February minutes as read. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Geisinger EMS responded to 145 calls for the month of February with 5 calls in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 35 calls for the month and there were no calls in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 24 calls and 1 was in the Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 25 calls, 3 were in the township. The ambulance responded to 79 calls total and 6 were in the township

Subdivision Plans:

Surveyor Mark Romeo was present to ask for conditional approval for Ray Crone’s Subdivision plan, parcel MD-2, pending sewage stipulations. Supervisors denied any approval until requirements for sewage are met.

Business from the Floor:

No business from the floor.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents that Spring Clean-Up will be Wednesday and Thursday April 22, & 23 from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. and Saturday April 25, 7:00 until 11:00.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to award the bid for E-3 emulsion for pick-up to Speciality Emulsion. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion. This was the only bid received.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Secretary advertise for bids for various stones, road oil, hot mix black top and fuels. Bids will be opened at next months’ meeting on April 20h around 7:15 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents that Ag Security applications are due in the office by June 1st. He also read a memo concerning the census information. You will never ne asked to give your Social Security #, mother’s maiden name, bank or credit card information, donations for money or anything related to politics.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to discuss.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $5,542.29 and the State Account totaling $1,050.68. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:21 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
