The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on February 19, 2024.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the minutes from January 15, 2024. Supervisor Jeff Propps seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approved the report as read and file for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Penn State Health Life Lion had 151 dispatches for the month of January. 2 were in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS had 44 calls for the month of January, 2 were in the Washington Township. Wellsville Fire Company had 28 calls for the month, 1 was in the Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS had 33 calls and 2 were in the Township.

Subdivision Plans:

There were no subdivision plans.

Business from the Floor:

A resident commented on water on Pine Ridge Rd and excess anti-skid on Pine Ridge Rd and Kralltown Rd. Another resident commented on how well the Township Roads were during the past snow storm compared to the State Roads.

Old Business:

There was no old business to discuss.

New Business:

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to set the dates for Spring Clean-Up for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, April 10th & 11th from 8:00 until 3:30 and April 12^th , 8:00 until 12:00. They will be open on Friday this year and closed on Saturday. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor announced that Washington Township is a member of Savvy Citizen, a free app for your phone, to receive messages and alerts about things happening in Washington Twp and surrounding areas. You can download the free app from the App Store. You may contact the Secretary if you have any questions.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers reminded the Supervisors on the updated information for ARPA funds. The deadline to obligate all funds is December 31, 2024. Deadline for spending all of the funds is December 31, 2026.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $4,345.63 and the State Account totaling $4,433.26. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Jeff Propps made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:08 P.M.
